Tova Saver is the biggest popstar in the world and football star, Talon Kendrick is a huge fan, so when he attends her concert at the same stadium he plays, he takes the chance to send her his jersey with his phone number in the hopes she'll get in touch.

Inspired by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship, Roughing the Princess is a controversial book, with many fans deriding the work as creepy. Honestly it was kind of bland. It was okay. There was lots of steam and some elements of the Tayvis relationship but I didn't really feel like it was a complete rip off. Like Taylor Swift is awesome - but I've also never met her so for me, she's rather abstract - just another character in a story. The differences were enough for me. I understand both sides of the issue though. That said, the name Tova Saver was truly terrible. I think that's probably the biggest letdown of the book - using the same initials made it harder to allow the work to stand apart from the real life relationship. Which obviously was the point but I'd say that changing them would've allowed more readers to judge the story rather than the circumstances.

But in regards to the actual writing, the story was average. It felt rushed and rather thin with developing the romance side of things. The characters weren't fully developed and felt rather flat which didn't help. The sex ventures further towards the kink side of things turning it more towards plain erotica than cute romance, which would be fine but felt out of place in my head canon of the relationship.
