Mom is worried about Sam's worrying, she cant get him to stop. Each night his bear would spend the night worrying with Sam, until they come up with an idea. This is a great book that teaches children that anxieties, even irrational anxieties, are normal and can be managed. I personally love this book because I myself have had severe anxiety(ies) since childhood being on the autism spectrum. How we manage these worries defines how much they consume us - whether or not we can function. Children do have anxieties and they should be addressed as seriously as an adult's. ( ) I remember when I was a child and my mother got this for my older brother because his name is Sam. It wasn't because he worried about things, but mostly because of the name. This is a very cute little book about a boy name Sam who worries about all the normal things a boy worries about before he goes to bed. He worries about monsters and things under his bed and such. His mother assures him nothing is going to harm him. He doesn't buy it, but his teddy bear assures him that he'll keep a look out at night while Sam sleeps and then he'll sleep durning the day. The plan was perfect for Sam and he slept well and woke up happy and safe. Great little book for a new present. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
Sam overcomes his anxieties by confessing them to his stuffed bear, who kindly agrees to take over the job of worrying about things at night. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
