If you have been curious about the interesting history of the Kennedy family this book is a quick and easy read. It is written in chronological order and starts with the Kennedy and Fitzgerald families leaving Ireland for the U.S.A. during the period of the potato famine. It then proceeds to follow the Kennedy family through the generations up through the end of the twentieth century. We read of their triumphs, scandals and tragedies. What this family has accomplished in three generations despite the obstacles they created for themselves, either by choice or recklessness, has left an impressive and lasting legacy that still affects lives to this day. The main theme I perceived from the book is the love and blind loyalty to the family. A good overview that will reveal what each member of the family has accomplished as well as those who aided them.
