The spirit of Halloween is evident throughout this book of poems. Poems full of kid friendly gruesome images and quirky poems are sure to be a hit in the classroom.

This book would be great to read around Halloween while incorporating a poetry lesson to my class. Also, you can have this book in your classroom year round for students to read for fun. ( )

Summary: A collection of short poems that are meant to be shared at night. In this book of creepy crawly poems, kids will find a crocodile that lives in a lavatory. Leopard chefs, that feed the next door neighbor only to, eat her. Along with many more gruesome tails

Personal Reaction: I found that in these stories, kids kid's must use their thinking skills in order to understand what is happening in the story, they are very creative.

Extension Ideas: Have students write a spooky story for Halloween to share with the class. End each day reading over a story and give it a different ending. Help younger students figure out rhyming words and as a class make a short story poem, it can be silly or spooky.

This is fun and the front cover is faux fur, white with green polka dots. The quality of the art in this particular book suites the title and the poems. This is meant to read after dark--* gobblins and goowies with scardy cat girlies. ( )

The poem talk about many beast. Too scary for the little kid. This book fit for kids in 3rd grade and up. The art work look dark, many details to take a view. I don't like this book much the words for sme poem is out of mind. Kid read this will think is weird. ( )
