This book is great for 4th-5th grade students. The book is about a young girl who faces adversity, struggle, and personal loss. This book is very inspiring, and it teaches kids about how to keep going when you are in a hard situation. I would definitely have this in my future classroom

this story is about a young girl named Espreranza who must move to california to start a new life with her mother after her father is killed. This is a story about facing ones challenges, resilience, and coming of age.
