Some of the examples of pop culture and technology in this book are outdated now, but that's understandable, given the subject matter. (For example, one of the librarians surveyed didn't use Facebook because it felt like spying on her children and their peers.) Anyway, it seems to me that many popular culture franchises and hobbies have only become more acceptable and, well, popular, now than they were ten years ago.
