This book was amazing. It had me emotional from the beginning., poor Averie endures heartbreak early and has to move to a new school thinking a fresh start will help her because she is spiraling out of control even though she knows better. At her new school she is the topic of conversation and even picked on and Ashton tries to stay away from her but he’s been attracted to her for a long time and isn’t able to resist her for long. Ashton helps Averie through her funk and to realize she needs to live and quit drowning her sorrows in bad ways. They become close and their chemistry is off the charts but he has a secret that could end things before they can really get started. It had me emotional at one point I wanted to cry, then another minute I was laughing at Ashton’s brother Ryker, then the next I was swooning hard over Ashton. This was a great novel and I really can’t wait for more about the other characters.… (més)

Oh Ryker…. your funny antics in Ash’s book had me dying to hear your story and see the guy behind the mask you keep firmly in place and behind the nonchalant façade. Let me tell you it did NOT disappoint me at all, in fact it made me fall even more for you. I knew there was so much more you than what you chose to show others including your own family. With a lot of anger and resentment that has been bottled up for so long I just knew it would be a matter of time until it all came forward and was triggered by something. By pushing those you care about away I saw that it was your way of coping with loss, afraid that everyone would leave and never want you. This trigger came in the form of Gabby, the girl you were best friends with and loved for so long. She is unique, hardworking, straight forward, beautiful girl that wanted you but scared of your rejection as you are of everyone else’s rejection. You both could not fight the attraction and long lost love you have because it was built from friendship and a bond through the years. Although some time may have passed that you both spoke to each other the bond was still there. Through tough times and talks you both wanted more with each other but knew you would have to sacrifice time with each other to do so. What I loved was how mature you guys were at handling a long-distance relationship even when faced with tough decisions. You grew to be the man I knew you were, who your family knew you were, and the man that could love and dedicate himself to Gabby. As a reader I loved seeing you, your brother and the girls interact. I also loved how much your story kept me intrigued throughout. You are amazing, Gabby’s amazing, and I can’t wait for others to read how you and Gabby grow as individuals and together.… (més)

The only person to pull him out of it is --Jordan. But can they have a lasting relationship in spite of everything that has happened? Can Brandon ever truly settle down? Can Jordan trust him?
