If Mel Brooks was a Brit, he would grab this and make a movie. But I don't think that he could possibly improve on the imagination of the author of this farce! Some of the characters are classic stereotypes, and the situational and verbal humor make this a book not to be read while drinking a beverage! The publisher's blurb gives hints and there is no need for spoilers, but be warned that this book is good for lots of laughter, and that makes it good for your health!

Aquesta ressenya s'ha escrit per al programa Donatius de membres de LibraryThing.
The Dragoon Club: The Treasure of Vittoria is set towards the end of the Napoleonic Wars. I quite enjoyed reading this book but some people may find some of the characters a bit stereotyped for example upper class fool in charge although even he has redeeming features and a corporal at the bottom that gets to deal with him and situations created. I think I might like to read at least another in the series to see how and where characters progress. I received a free copy of the book to review
