Blake is being released early after his shenanigans from the last book. (Did we really find out what the consequences were for his actions and why he did them in the last book? I honestly don't remember it. I mean, I remember what he did, but I was surprised where we started out with Blake in this one. *ahem* Anyway...) His task is to distract a human that is being allowed in to the North Pole. Blake doesn't really like humans, or anyone other than reindeer, and when it turns out that Blake as met this particular human before, things get a little shaky and Blake doesn't think that he'll be able to do what is asked of him. But other things are afoot, and Blake and Seth have an instant attraction to each other, so even though any relationship is doomed because of the whole "can't know about the North Pole" thing, Blake and Seth can't help themselves.

I honestly don't know why I don't like this series better. It just...I don't know. There isn't a lot of story to them, but it's not just that. I did like that Blake and Seth kind of just went with the flow and didn't angst too much about hooking up. And I liked the fact that Randy is apparently omniscient but as long as things weren't impacting in a bad way, he allowed it to happen, even if it wasn't technically adhering to the terms. Blake was sorry for what he did, and he was sincere, and I really liked that his family was there for him, that they didn't turn him away. And Santa and Mrs. Claus are...hoo-boy. Neither of them come across too well. I mean, I think we're supposed to like or feel sorry for one of them, but I really don't. I think I'll probably eventually read the whole series, I'm just not rushing to do it.

Willy the Kinky Elf and His Bad-Ass Reindeer is the first book in the series of the same name. The story is told in first person through the eyes of Willy, an elf that works at the North Pole for Santa.

I first read this story a few years back, but I never wrote a review for it. I enjoyed the book then, and I enjoyed reading it this go around too. The blurb pretty much says what the story is about so there isn’t much to add to it.

Willy is the narrator throughout the book and he’s a lively narrator at that. We learn he’s always horny, and has the hots for Randy the head reindeer. Jason, elf manager, dares Willy to take a picture of Randy’s c*ck, when he’s asleep. The dare doesn’t go well and Randy is furious, and from there begins Willy and Randy’s ‘relationship’. The story is funny and sexy, and by the end, we find out that Randy isn’t exactly like his reputation and the two get their HEA. We also find out that Randy is mysteriously magical. He seems to know what Willy is up to when he's alone and can be almost anywhere in an instant.

Willy the Kinky Elf and His Bad-Ass Reindeer is a fast read and I’ll be continuing with the series. I give this book, 4 Stars.

Evan the Virgin Reindeer and His Sexy Buck is the second book in the ‘Willy the Kinky Elf & His Bad-Ass Reindeer’. The story stars Reindeer Evan, a newbie to Santa’s reindeer team, and Reindeer Derek, best friend to Randy from the first book. This is told in first person from Evan’s pov.

This is a sweet follow up to ‘Willy the Kinky Elf’. While the first book was funny and sexy, this story was more like a contemporary romance. Santa and Mrs. Claus are still their obnoxious selves, and there are mysterious events going on behind the scenes that the reindeer need to ferret out.

Evan has dedicated his life to making his parents proud of him, so he’s spent all his time studying and working hard to become part of the team that pulls Santa’s sleigh. He’s successful in that he’s selected, but still has obstacles because of a bully reindeer. Since Evan has focused on his goal, he hasn’t taken time to date or have sex like other reindeer. He’s still a virgin at twenty-one, I think that’s his age. His condition embarrasses him and contributes to an inferiority complex. Derek, is the perfect reindeer mate for Evan. Calm, patient and encouraging, he believes in destined mates and knows Evan is his. The problem is convincing Evan that destined mates are a real thing and not a fairy tale, and that Evan is wonderful.

Willy and Randy are back in the story and the author did a good job of keeping their voices consistent from the first book. Willy as usual, is hilarious. Evan’s voice is completely different from Willy’s. Evan sounded more independent at the beginning of the story but once he and Derek got together, his voice changed to being more insecure and unsure of himself. I don’t think that was a good thing. I suppose the reason could’ve been to make Evan and Derek sound different because their voices sounded alike in the beginning.

I found a couple errors that stuck out in my mind. The first one was a time continuity error that didn’t quite make sense. The other was where Derek’s name was used when it should have been Blake’s. Other than that, the writing was consistent. I liked Evan the Virgin Reindeer and His Sexy Buck, but not as much as I liked the first story. What carried this story for me was Willy, Randy, and the mystery of who/what was behind all the bad things happening at the North Pole. If it weren’t for those reindeer and the mystery, I’d give this story 3 Stars. However, since they were in it, I’ll give it 4 Stars.

Barry the Lonely Reindeer & His Bashful Elf is the fourth book in the ‘Willy the Kinky Elf’ series. The stars are, Reindeer Barry Simpson, the younger brother of Blake from Book 3, and Ricky, a shy elf. This is told in first person through Barry’s pov.

The blurb does a good job of describing what the book is about so I won’t repeat it. It’s a more serious story dealing with bad relationships, past and present. Barry, Ricky and even Santa have to deal with bad exes, and a bad Mrs. Santa. We learn more about Santa Claus, and how he, the reindeer, and the elves came to be. The information Santa gives is still mysterious, but it makes Santa more ‘real’ compared to in the previous stories. The story did have its humorous parts, but not like the previous three books. My favorite character was Ricky; he was too cute, especially when he was mad and protecting Barry.

I keep forgetting to mention in my reviews, that the author does a great job of presenting previous background about the North Pole, Santa, Reindeer and Elves, in each book without sounding repetitive. I’ve read other authors’ books where the author rehashes a previous book in the series in order to catch readers up to speed in case they didn’t read the first book. They’ll repeat for pages, sometimes chapters, until I’m bored. But not this author. She intersperses information throughout the story in a way that makes it sound different from book to book.

We get a glimpse of a new character, Dylan, who will be the main character for the fifth book.

I enjoyed Barry the Lonely Reindeer, but not as much as I did the first three books because I missed the humor that was so prevalent in the first three. Despite that, I give this story, 4 Stars. Now on to the next book!
