This book is billed as the first to cover the full career arc of Kent Monkman, and his alter ego, Miss Chief Eagle Testickle. Miss Chief appears in paintings, photos, and performance art to deliver subversive commentary on the traditional European narratives of life in North America. He’s proficient in the tropes of Renaissance paintings and uses them to great effect to create new narratives.
