Mary Jane and Herm Auch

Summary: This story is about a chicken that loves to read books. She loves reading books so much that she decides she herself can write a book. It takes a lot of work, but she finally does it, then she realizes that nobody wants to read or publish a book written by a chicken so when she finally publishes it herself, it gets terrible reviews. This chicken is just having a terrible time with her book, but in the end it all worked out because no matter what the editors or reviewers thought, the readers loved it.

Genre: this is a good fantasy because it is about a chicken that talks, reads, writes and has human feelings. It also has a whole society of animals and people that can talk to one another and understand what they are saying. Although we know this to be false, we still allow it because we enjoy the story!

Plot: The story has spikes and valleys. There are times when it builds from Henrietta loving to read to going to the library to writing her own story, then it hits a peak when Henrietta sends the book to be published. After that there is a low point because they say she can’t get it published and she then builds it up when she pusblishes it herself and then it builds as it goes to the reviewer, and then plumetts as it gets a bad review. It builds and climaxes when she goes to the library and plateaus when she sees the readers who love her book and reads it to them.
