Teresa Flavin is an illustrator who is also an author of critically acclaimed illustrated fantasy adventure novels for children and young people. Her debut novel, The Blackhope Enigma (Templar Publishing UK), was short-listed for a number of UK book awards and was a Junior Library Guild selection for Fall 2011 in the USA (Candlewick Press). The sequel, The Crimson Shard, was published in the UK by Templar and in the USA by Candlewick Press. It was a Junior Library Guild Selection for Fall 2012. Templar UK published the final book in the trilogy, The Shadow Lantern, in 2013 and Candlewick published it in the USA in 2014.

Teresa's latest novel, JET BLACK HEART, a supernatural time travel story for teens, was published by Barrington Stoke in the UK in August 2014. Barrington Stoke also published her story for younger readers, YELLOW RABBIT, in 2013 (illustrated by Rich Watson).

American-born Teresa lives in West Yorkshire, England. She maintains a studio, where she not only writes, but illustrates and makes paintings for gallery exhibitions. She speaks widely in schools, libraries and at literary festivals.
