Felony Murder. Joseph T. Klempner. 2016. This is a good book for those who like court room drama. Joey, a homeless Hispanic loner has been accused of murdering a popular chief of police. It was Dean Abernathy’s time to get a case from the Assigned Counsel Office and he accepted it. We know that Joey didn’t kill the chief and realize he is being framed. It takes Abernathy a while to discover and figure out what to do. Very little of the action takes place in the court room but it interesting and suspenseful to see how Abernathy works. I like this character, and am sorry that there isn’t a sequel. (
