Helpful Guide
The target audience (A1 and A2) for this book are familiar with and can understand frequently used basic phases and sentences. It is not for a person learning their first words of Russian. The Russian alphabet, Russian word – English word pairs, sentences, questions, and the appendixes provide a solid basis for advanced beginner and intermediate students. The word group for each section centers on a common theme. Each section starts with a word, followed by examples and a punctuation guide. The version reviewed included high quality clear sounding rendering of the sentences. The English to Russian dictionary is very helpful. One very helpful feature is the Russian alphabet that shows capital small, Russian and English name and English example. There is only one letter for each sound.
