Read this in the library like 10 years ago. The title is "The Key" or just "Key" I believe but I don't know the author so haven't managed to find it again
What I remember:
- female orc slave that gets freed
- mechanical green skinned alien people (one is a kid, the other is dad/mum) "He" is a honourific for the species but not a gender
- male rogue character is actually the son of the mechanical green persons partner who went to earth after passing the egg that hatched into the kid to him, then met a king that had dormant magic and gave birth to twins boys that had active magic but one died because of some lung disease/curse
- somehow the one that died is actually the rogue guy
- the book had pictures in it
- the orc lady sold her breastmilk
- front cover has the orc lady and maybe the other characters and maybe a large white wolf on it
I just need to know this wasn't a fever dream and this book actually exists
